Get paid: finish your payment setup

LOCLbox takes card payments through Stripe. Payment setup is a short Stripe form inside your portal. It takes about 5 minutes, and your details go straight to Stripe. LOCLbox never stores them.
Step by step

Open Payment Setup
Go to Settings > Billing and scroll to the Payment Setup card. Press Set Up Payments. If you started before, the button reads Continue Payment Setup.
On your phone, tap More, then Settings, then the Billing tab. Only the account owner can open Settings.

Let the secure form load
You will see Loading secure setup for a few seconds while Stripe prepares the form. Then answer each step: your business, your personal details as the owner, and the bank account that should receive your payouts.

Finish the Stripe sign-in window if one opens
Partway through, Stripe may open its own small window (a pop-up, or a new tab on a phone) to sign you in or confirm it is really you. While that window is open, the setup page waits, so it can look like it has stalled.
- Look for the Stripe window. It is often hidden behind your browser, or in another tab.
- Complete it there. When it closes, the setup page carries on by itself.
- If nothing opened, your browser may have blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for loclbox.com, then press the button in the form again.
Please do not refresh the setup page while the Stripe window is open. Finish or close that window first.

Check your status in Billing
When you finish or leave the form, you return to Settings > Billing. The Payment Setup card shows where you stand:
- Verified: you are set up to accept cards. Payouts go to your linked bank account.
- In Progress: something is still unfinished. Press Continue Payment Setup to pick up where you left off.
- Action Needed: Stripe needs more information. Press Review & Fix and answer what it asks.
Stripe sometimes takes a little while to review what you sent. You can keep using LOCLbox meanwhile.
What payment setup turns on
- Saving a client's card when they book, charging no-show and late-cancel fees, and charging a saved card for a service while the client is there and agrees. These need Pro or the No-Show Protection add-on.
- Payouts of what you collect to your bank account.
Until setup is Verified, clients can still book you. They just are not asked for a card.
Common questions
The setup page has been loading for a long time. What now?
First look for a Stripe window that may be waiting on you (see step 3). If there is none, reload the page once. If you see "Could not reach Stripe", check your connection and try again.
What does card processing cost?
LOCLbox charges one bundled processing rate per payment, with no monthly processing fee. It appears as a single processing fee line. For the exact rate on your account, talk to support.
