Terms of Service

These terms govern use of loclbox.com and the LOCLbox platform, operated by LOCLbox ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using a LOCLbox page, you agree to these terms.
The service
LOCLbox provides local business pages, directory listings, lead capture, appointment scheduling, two-way text messaging, rewards tools, and payment processing for small service businesses. Free and paid plans are described on our pricing page; paid plans renew monthly until cancelled.
We may modify, add, or discontinue features, plans, or the service itself over time; if a change materially reduces what your plan includes, we will give reasonable advance notice. Page addresses (URLs) remain ours and may be reclaimed from accounts that are closed, inactive for an extended period, or in violation of these terms.
Inactive free accounts. Free accounts that sit dormant for an extended period (no owner sign-ins or account activity, over a time frame we reasonably determine) are subject to termination. We will send notice to the account email at least 30 days before terminating an inactive account. After termination, the account, its page, and its data are no longer accessible to you and may be permanently deleted. We may retain copies of certain records where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example, payment and tax records), but retained records are not recoverable through the service.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Merchants receive payouts through their connected Stripe account. Processing fees are disclosed in the merchant dashboard. Clients who save a card at booking and agree to a business's cancellation policy authorize that business to charge the disclosed no-show or late-cancellation fee to the saved card in accordance with the policy they accepted.
SMS program terms (LOCLbox Notifications)
- By opting in during booking, you consent to receive appointment-related text messages (reminders, confirmations, cancellation notices, and reward updates) from the business you booked with, sent via the LOCLbox platform.
- Message frequency varies with your appointment activity (typically 1–4 messages per appointment).
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact [email protected].
- Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Partner program & referral codes
A partner or referral code entered at signup (or carried by a referral link) associates an account with the referring partner, including for benefits that apply when the account later upgrades. We reserve the right to correct, reassign, or remove a referral association at our discretion, including where a code was applied in error or where a partner violates these terms or the program rules (for example self-referral, misleading promotion, or unsolicited messaging). Partners removed from the program for violations forfeit their referral associations and any unpaid program benefits.
Acceptable use
Merchants may not use LOCLbox to send unsolicited messages, spam, or content that is unlawful, deceptive, or infringing. Merchants are responsible for the accuracy of their business information and for honoring the policies they publish. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or applicable messaging regulations.
Disclaimers & liability
LOCLbox is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid to LOCLbox in the three months before the claim arose.
